Critical Wiring Guidelines

  1. Mandatory Overcurrent Protection: Install DC fuse/MCB upstream of SPD to cut circuit on SPD failure and avoid fire risk.
  2. Earthing: PE wire ideally ≤0.5m, copper cable 6–16mm². Connect SPD directly to equipotential bonding bar.
  3. Polarity: PV positive to L+, negative to L-. Reverse polarity damages internal MOV.
  4. DIN Rail: Mount SPD, fuse and MCB on standard 35mm DIN rail.
  5. Load: Each PV string with separate output MCB for partial maintenance.
  6. Replacement: Pluggable cartridge, replace without disconnecting full DC bus.
