Molded Case Circuit Breaker(MCCB)
MCCB is used for overload long delay, and short circuit transient, including rated limit short circuit breaking capacity, current limiting breaking capacity, and other characteristics.
What's the difference between MCCB and MCB?
1, MCCB can access thicker wires, such as more than 35mm2. MCB is only suitable for ≤10mm2 wires.
2, The end of MCCB is connected with a nut, easy to press, and has good contact. MCB uses smaller pressures to tighten the terminal, and only uses a screwdriver to tighten, the torque is not enough, it is not easy to press, and the contact is not good.
3, MCCB adopts two sets of devices to protect the overcurrent and short circuit respectively, and the overcurrent protection action value can be manually adjusted. MCB shares a set of devices for overcurrent and short circuits, and the current is not adjustable.
4, MCCB phase distance is large, and has an arc extinguishing cover, arc extinguishing ability is strong, and can withstand greater short circuit current, It is not easy to cause a short circuit between phases. It also has a long life.
5, MCB operation sensitivity is higher than MCCB. MCB and MCCB of the working principle are the same.
The difference is:
1. The MCB installation method is rail installation, and the MCCB is screw installation.
2. The maximum current level of the MCB is within 63A, and the current level of the MCCB is the highest 2000A.
